Hibachi Meal Recipe For $5/Serving (Like the Restaurant But Much Cheaper)
I am by no means a food blogger, but I had so many asking for this recipe that I had to get it all put down on paper! After many failed attempts, I feel like I FINALLY got this Hibachi-inspired meal close to how it tastes in the restaurant. All the ingredients were bought at Walmart and allowed us to have 4-6 servings! All in all it probably takes about 45 minutes to make and costs around $5/serving!
For the shrimp

Throw some olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cook until shrimp is heated through (drain excess water as needed).
Add some splashes of soy sauce and teriyaki glaze.
For the chicken

Olive oil
Salt
Kikkoman teriyaki glaze or P.F. Chang’s teriyaki sauce (either one works)
Directions
Thaw the frozen chicken breasts in the microwave.
Dice up chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
Season chicken with salt.
Throw some olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cook until chicken is heated through (drain excess water as needed).
Add some splashes of soy sauce and teriyaki glaze.
For the fried rice
Ingredients
2 eggs
Butter
Salt
1/2 onion
Kikkoman teriyaki glaze or P.F. Chang’s teriyaki sauce (either one works)
Directions
Thaw frozen veggies by following microwave instructions (usually takes 6-7 minutes).
Heat up a skillet to around 350 and melt a slab of butter.
Dice up 1/2 onion and put on a skillet with a slab of butter.
Add cooked veggies to the skillet with onion and season with salt.
Add a bag of jasmine rice to the skillet and season with more salt and butter.
Push the rice and veggies aside to cook 2 eggs through and scramble them.
Mix in the eggs to the rice and veggies.
Add splashes of soy sauce and teriyaki glaze until the fried rice is well flavored.
Continue to mix and flip the fried rice around on the skillet until it is cooked through.
When finished, add the meat to the fried rice on the skillet and add more soy sauce and teriyaki glaze as needed.
Top it off with yum yum sauce as desired!
For the veggies
Ingredients
1 bell pepper
1 zucchini
1/2 onion
Butter
Salt
Kikkoman teriyaki glaze or P.F. Chang’s teriyaki sauce (either one works)
Directions
Wash all veggies.
Heat some butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
Cut up bell peppers so that each piece is about the size of an SD card (weird comparison, but it works).
Cut up onion so that each piece is about the size of an SD card as well.
Cut ends of zucchini off and then cut it into 3-4 sections - continue to make lengthwise cuts until you like the size of the chunks.
Cut stems off ½ a bag of broccoli.
Put all the veggies in the pan with the butter and season with salt.
Add splashes of soy sauce and teriyaki glaze until the veggies are well flavored.
Top it off with yum yum sauce as desired!
